How can therapy help me?

Therapy offers a nonjudgmental and supportive space to process and navigate challenges, create change, develop healthy coping strategies, and experience growth with the collaborative support of a licensed mental health professional who has been trained in evidenced-based therapeutic practice.

Although growth is not always comfortable and discomfort may be a part of the therapeutic process, there are many advantages to participating in therapy. By actively participating and committing to the therapeutic process, therapy may lead to improved mood, thought clarity, improved communication, symptom management, healthy strategies to address your concerns, greater confidence, and deeper understanding of self.

What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy is therapy delivered through a private, HIPAA-compliant virtual platform via computer, tablet, or smartphone. I am licensed to provide teletherapy to clients located in the state of Maryland. Teletherapy offers convenience, saves time, travel, and offers the comfort of being in your own space. Teletherapy has been found to be as effective as in-person services. However, teletherapy may not be appropriate if you are experiencing a mental health crisis, such as suicidal or homicidal ideation.

Do you accept insurance?

I am now in-network with Aetna. If you receive any out-of-network benefits from a different insurance provider, I can provide a superbill for you to request reimbursement from your provider.

How long are sessions and what are your fees?

Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes in length. The fees for private pay and out-of-network clients are $150 for initial intake appointments and $130 for all follow-up appointments. I do not offer a sliding scale at this time. I accept debit or credit card, HSA or FSA card. Loveland Vouchers are also accepted. Payment is due at time of service. Credit/debit information must be provided when you book your first session to secure your appointment slot. It will be kept on file to cover any cancellation fees.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions must be rescheduled or canceled at least 24 hours in advance. You will be charged the full session fee for any late cancellations/no shows.

What is your availability?

At this time, I offer sessions on Monday afternoons and evenings.

What if I am experiencing a mental health crisis?

If you are experiencing suicidal or homicidal ideations or other mental health crisis, please go to your nearest hospital emergency room or call 911.
